On Sunday, January 25, join us for our annual Wassail celebration at Rose Hill Farm. Please RSVP using the link in our bellow!
It’s our big chance to let loose, get wild, and cheer on some trees in the dark doldrums of winter. Borrowing from the English tradition, Rose Hill’s Wassail is a community ceremony to thank the land for all it gives us and bless the trees for a bountiful spring harvest.
Crafts will start at 12 pm on the taproom lawn—come make a crown from treasures foraged from the winter landscape or design a bell-covered noise-maker or, for the brave of heart, build your own torch to carry in the procession.
The procession will start at 4:15 pm. We’ll walk to the top of the hill for the Wassail ceremony. Bring pots and pans to bang, bread to hang on the trees, and rested voice boxes for hollering.
Food will be available, served by @n_misto_w . @mightydonutsandcoffee will also be on site with donuts, hot chocolate, and coffee. There will be music during the ceremony and in the @rosehillferments taproom afterwards. Our taproom will remain open until 8 pm!
This year we’re requesting a $15 per-car donation to help us cover the costs of the event (including a tent for crafts this year!). Please give what you can—and come no matter what.
